Comrades and Cohorts

"When I was young, my dad said son
Never be ashamed of where your from
There's nothin wrong with your last name
So don't be lookin for people to blame
Cuz hard times they come and they go
And most of the time their in the middle of your road
Same pain
Different ways
Don't you know Son
When it pours it rains
Hard Times"
Ryan Bingham from Mescalito
One of my most favorite recent albums

Well let's see what have I been up to. Went to the Hawkeye/Wisconsin game.
How bout them Hawks! Finally, hopefully the good play will continue.

Played in a trivia tournament and we finished second out of 50, and I think I may have contributed a couple of correct answers.

So in honor of trivia here you go

These are the real names of what people?(music)
No cheating now

Dana Owens
Bill Homans
Mckinley Morganfield
Ellas Bates
If you think you know without doing the google thing let me know. 20 Points 5 each. Ha!

Life continues to amaze me in many ways. Going through Moriah's things has put many smiles on my face and of course a few tears. In one of those kind of strange moments I came across a bunch of her CD's and found one titled "Moriah's Mix" So I decide to download it and the first song I hear is Billy Joel's "Only the Good Die Young" Maybe so, Maybe so.

I'm heading back to Mizzou this weekend. Trying to get the house set up with furniture, amenities etc. So it's about ready to accept some guests. All are welcome!!.

That's if for now

I'll keep doing this for now. I am so blown away by all the responses from all of you, even from people that I don't really know that well. So for now I guess ya all won't get rid of me so easily.
It has been a great source of inspiration and therapy for me so be careful for what you ask for!!

I am so overwhelmed right now. Your responses have, well, oh shit, sorry.(tears) Anyway, Austin, Texas is a special place and I had a great time and a great trip, Great Music, and lots of beautiful people. I've gotta tell you all of it was good but Sunday in the tent with Nakia and his Southern Cousins and Mike Farris with The Roseland Rhythm Review , my brother Ryan, and some wine was pretty cool. Lots of energy etc. Ahhh guess you just had to be there. Just bought my tickets for next year. I didn't take a lot of pictures this time(any that I could print) just kidding!!

Did you know that this is National Mustache Month????

We have distributed 5k from Moriah's Memorial fund to the scholarship fund. The name has been changed to the Mary and Moriah Reiman Scholarship Fund of Iowa City. The first disbursment should be this spring to a deserving young lady who graduates from Iowa City West or City High School. Thank You Thank You to all of you that contributed. If you would care to contribute directly you may send it to,

PEO Executive Office
3700 Grand Ave
Des Moines, Ia. 50312
Checks should made out to the PEO Foundation with Mary and Moriah Reiman in the memo line. What could be cooler, and tax deductible.

Doc says I set a record for drop in blood pressure so that's a good thing. He also says I'm back to normal. Yeah right. Anyway trying to get a little healthier.

Beer should be like V8.

Anyway that's it for now. I'm heading to the lake this weekend. Hope to see many of you before the end of the year.

I will speak in the anguish of my spirit;
I will complain in the bitterness of my soul.
